The Walt Disney World 10K race will be on January 7, 2022.

General registration opens July 27, 2021 at 10 AM EST (Club runDisney Gold & Platinum Registration Opens July 20, 2021 at 10 AM EST.)

This race is open to all people 10 years of age or older. The minimum pace requirement is 16 minutes per mile.

All PWS individuals MUST have a buddy runner accompany them during the race. The buddy runner must be at least 13 years of age. We will have volunteers assisting with the race but can not guarantee a buddy runner for your loved one.

Dr. Jennifer Miller, pediatric endocrinologist and assistant professor of endocrinology at the University of Florida and Dr. Tammy Buck, PT, DPT, PCS and assistant professor of physical therapy at Brenau University will be the team captains.

All PWS individuals and their buddy runners will be provided a free “couch to 5K” training program designed by Dr. Buck specifically for PWS persons. This training program can also be used as a guide to prepare for the 10k. You can access the training programs by clicking on the “Training Programs” option on our toolbar. Participation in the training program is not mandatory but is recommended.

Dr. Buck will also provide virtual coaching throughout the training process and will be available for individual consultation if necessary.

A special PWS clinic will be held at the University of Florida on the Wednesday of race week. This clinic is available to all new or existing pediatric PWS individuals who are either running on one of our teams or have a loved one who is running on one of our teams. The clinic will have a daily maximum of 12 participants and slots will be filled on a first register, first request basis. There will be a space available on the registration form to indicate your desire to be included.

The fundraising goal for each runner/team is $1,000. Click here to create your Fundraising Page.

Each registered member of the fundraising team will receive a team shirt as a thank you for their effort.

Once the race registration opens, you must go to runDisney.com to register. ONLY after submitting your registration with Disney should you register for our team. You may do so by filling our Registration Form.
